Google Gemini Now Finds Rentals Through Zillow. Here’s What That Means for Our Listings and Site

Google’s Gemini assistant can now search Zillow’s rental inventory directly. Every MoveZen listing syndicates to Zillow, so we’re in there now.  Unfortunately, our 3D tours and industry-leading knowledge base aren’t, so residents and owners still get more from our site.

What Google and Zillow Rolled Out

Google’s Gemini assistant can now search Zillow’s rental inventory directly inside a conversation, including the voice chat many like. A resident speaks something like “find me a three-bedroom under $2,400 near downtown (your city)” and Gemini returns matching Zillow listings. Plus the ability to filter by beds, price, and location, and to book tours without leaving the chat.

This is a meaningful shift in how rentals get discovered. For nearly two decades, the vast majority of single-family renters found their home through Zillow, Realtor.com, Apartments.com. Now there’s a tool to help monitor, get advice, assess, and even track with reminders and proactive notices.

We don’t think this replaces traditional rental search overnight. But we do think it’s how a growing share of residents, particularly younger renters already using AI assistants for everything else, will start their housing hunt.

The example

“Show me 3-bedroom rentals in Charlotte under $2,500 with a fenced yard, available in the next 30 days.”

Gemini parses the request, queries Zillow’s inventory, and returns matching listings inline. From there, the resident can filter further or request a tour. Our listings are in that result set the moment they publish.

Every MoveZen Rental Is Already on Zillow

We syndicate to Zillow across every metro we manage in. That’s Wilmington, Raleigh, Charlotte, the Triad (Greensboro and Winston-Salem), Rock Hill SC, Greenville SC, and soon to be in Columbia SC, and Dallas-Fort Worth Texas. From the moment Gemini connected to Zillow Rentals, our full inventory was searchable there.

What Doesn’t Come Along: 3D Tours and Our Knowledge Base

Due to an ongoing industry dispute between Zillow and its largest competitor, our 3D tours aren’t included in Zillow’s public listing view. It’s a platform-level standoff we’ve been navigating for a while. Gemini pulls from Zillow, so Gemini doesn’t see the tours directly either.  Most likely though it will be able to easily make the connection with our site, our industry-leading Matterport 3D Tours, and our huge knowledge base.  Or you can visit https://MoveZen360.com

Our knowledge base is nearly two decades of rental guidance, metro-specific market analysis, lease term explanations, and resident FAQs.

Why Gemini Will Probably Find Our Knowledge Base Anyway

Gemini isn’t just a Zillow interface. It’s a general-purpose assistant with broad web understanding. When someone asks a rental question that isn’t tied to a specific listing, “what’s a reasonable lease term in Charlotte?”, “how does a pet deposit work in North Carolina?”, “what does a property manager actually do?”, Gemini pulls from the open web and it’s trained knowledge to answer.

Our knowledge base is a major part of Google’s search results.

Questions our knowledge base already answers

  • How long does it typically take to lease a well-priced single-family home?
  • What’s included in a MoveZen management agreement?
  • How do we screen residents, and why does our process take a few days?
  • What happens if a resident stops paying rent?

What This Means for Property Owners

More exposure for every MoveZen listing at no added cost. We keep the same syndication strategy that’s placed listings in front of quality residents for years, now with an AI assistant to help.

What This Means for Residents Searching for a Home

Gemini is a fast way to compare rentals across sources. Use it. It’ll get you a solid shortlist in minutes rather than an afternoon of tab-juggling.

But if a MoveZen listing catches your eye, come directly to our site for the full picture and 3D tour. The application, the tour scheduling, and the necessary look at what living in a MoveZen-managed home will be like are detailed there but also probably easy to bring into Gemini.
