This service is a powerful feature that tenants almost always love when working well, but due to battery failure, people accidentally forgetting to replace keys etc it is far from fail-proof. We’ll do the best we can to work with you

We’ve created this page to address 3 common issues. Sometimes the issue is just a simple code problem, or user issues, and we can often resolve them over the phone, or by chat. You can get priority treatment during hours (reserved for semi-emergencies) by dialing 910.447.9495 (or any of our numbers) and choosing option 9 at the first recording

Finally, the most common issue that we can’t do much about is a dead battery. We test before we put them in, but an active rental can burn through new batteries pretty fast, and we also can’t be ridiculously wasteful. If you happen to have a 9-volt battery, you can attempt to plug it into the bottom of the box to get temporary access


If you are particularly worried about any of these issues and more, just schedule an in-person showing instead. That’s an option, just ask. If you’re coming from a long way, etc that’s probably best. We apologize for any trouble this system may cause but hopefully you’ll understand that we took these steps to alleviate problems the best we could
